Monday 17th May – Late, Late Ascension Day Walk
A walk to the Celtic Cross at Gibbet Hill, Hindhead, and ending up with a bring-your-own picnic at the National Trust picnic area by the car park. We need to leave punctually so please arrive on time. There are two option
Challenging walk: Involving fairly steep, rocky paths; walking poles helpful. Approx. 50 minutes. Leaving from the Viewpoint, adjacent to the car park at 11.15am.
OR
Circular walk: Fairly easy walk, though muddy at times. Approx 25 mins. Leave viewpoint at 11.45am.
Both groups will occasionally pause for a reading and a prayer. We shall meet all together at the Celtic Cross on Gibbet Hill at about 12.10. We’ll walk back to the car park altogether and, weather permitting, eat our picnics at about 12.45. Others are welcome to join us at that time too. Contact Derek for further details.
