Services

Sunday Services

We have a weekly 9.00am  Communion and a 10.30am Morning Worship service.

9.00am

A Communion using traditional language. It is a quiet service lasting about 50 minutes.

10.30am

A time of more contemporary worship. We have groups for all children and young people. The first Sunday of the month is an All Age service and the fourth Sundays is Communions. We usually follow a sermon series and music is led by the worship band. Services sometimes include testimonies, film and opportunities to share what God may be saying. Following the service, refreshments are served and prayer ministry is available.

Others
We have fortnightly online Compline on Wednesdays at 9pm. We have had a variety of meetings on Sunday evenings. These have included ASK (Ask Seek Knock), where we gathered with no agenda, other than to meet with God and experience his presence and power.  At other times we have gathered to celebrate events like Ascension Day; reflect on the Station of the Cross; or simply to worship God together. See the news section for further details.

Baptisms

This is also sometimes referred to as a ‘Christening’. They are usually held in the 10.30am Sunday morning service. If you would like to find our more, please contact the Vicar. We also offer a ‘thanksgiving for the gift of a child’ if you feel that baptism isn’t quite right for you at this stage.

Weddings

Many couples begin their married life at St Alban’s. Contact the Vicar to find out more. Also get in touch if you need to find out more about having your Banns read because you are marrying in another church.

Funerals

Usually you will speak to a Funeral Director, who will then contact the church. But please let us know if we can offer any help or advice.
